Garrett joined the staff of Riverbluff in 2020 to serve as leader on the Student Ministry team. He has always had a passion for middle school and is honored to serve the students and families of Riverbluff in this role. Garrett first sensed the Lord leading him to Student Ministry leadership while attending FUGE for the first time as an adult leader. Now, he would take students to FUGE every week of the summer, if he could. Garrett believes that Christ-centered discipleship is essential in preparing our youth for the challenges presented by the world.
Garrett holds a degree in History from Furman University and Educational Leadership from The Citadel. He has worked in the Dorchester School District Two school system for more than 20 years as a middle school Social Studies teacher, Assistant Principal, and Social Studies Curriculum Specialist.
