We believe Riverbluff Church was on the heart of God before it ever actually existed in the Charleston area!

Riverbluff was planted in the early 1940′s in the Midland Park community of North Charleston. Originally named Midland Park Baptist Church, we experienced the blessing of God over the years. We transitioned from traditional programs and methods using a Purpose Driven model in the early-mid 90’s. That transition brought additional growth that exceeded the capacity of our 3-acre campus to handle the ever growing ministry needs. In 1998, God miraculously “gave us” 25 acres of land in the fastest growing part of the city of North Charleston and in 2002 we relocated to our current site and changed our name.
Today, Riverbluff Church is a contemporary, Disciple-Making Church with a strong heart to see that every man, woman, and child is given repeated opportunities to see, hear, and to respond to the Gospel of Jesus right where they live, work, and play. We have again restructured our ministries to move us toward that vision being achieved.
Everything we do today is organized around our mission:
To Make Disciples | Who Make Disciples | Who Change the World.

We actually believe the world would be a better place if everyone knew Jesus and followed His teachings. So, we’re taking it to the streets. Our focus is not on conversions alone, but on making disciples. We teach that the Christian life is about living as a Follower of Jesus and making a difference in the world. It’s about more than going to heaven when you die.
If you’re looking for family, purpose, involvement, growth, meaning, and mission, we invite you to explore the River, and be sure to introduce yourself when you come. We love meeting people who help us take the next steps into the history of Riverbluff!
