Seasonal Classes

Winter 2026 Short-Term Classes

Beginning January 25  and February 3

These Bible Study Classes are designed to help you connect in meaningful ways—both with God and with others.

Each class offers a unique chance to:

  • Connect with the Character of God—in new and deeper ways, helping you love Him more fully and follow Him more closely.
  • Connect with others at Riverbluff—Some classes are open to everyone, while others are gender-specific. One class is specifically inviting women who feel disconnected to find their place and build new relationships. You’ll see which one if you read the descriptions!
  • Connect with God’s Word—discovering more about who He is, and who you are because you belong to Him.

We encourage you to prayerfully review the details of each class below, and ask the Lord if there is a group He has prepared just for you. We look forward to growing together in faith, connection, and understanding of God’s love!

Is the desire of your heart to be close to God? Do you long for an intimate relationship with your Creator but He seems elusive? Perhaps it’s because something essential is missing in your life—the fear of the Lord. Don’t let this frighten you. Fearing God is very different than being afraid of God. It’s the key to everything, and if you want to build a faith that stands strong through troubled times, you cannot afford to ignore it.

In this seven-session video-based Bible study, bestselling author John Bevere explores more than forty promises in Scripture given to those who embrace holy fear—rewards such as holiness, wisdom, legacy, confidence, happiness, and security. He invites you to take a fresh look at what it means to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. And he shows how approaching God in this way allows you to discover the deeper relationship with the Lord that your soul longs for and that He desires to have with you.

Do you sometimes wonder if there is more that God desires for you in your relationship with Him? Do you ever feel stuck, emotionally or spiritually? Sometimes the weight of those issues can define who we are, how we live our lives, and our decision-making, and negatively affect us spiritually, emotionally, mentally, relationally, and even physically. We all need to learn to care for our soul!

You’re invited to join us for the 8-week Soul Care Class based on the book Soul Care by Dr. Rob Reimer. Together, we will explore and put into practice what the Bible says about how you can experience greater measures of freedom and wholeness within your heart and soul. You will have the opportunity for significant, personal, and meaningful “ah ha” moments as you begin to “connect the dots” to what might be keeping you from experiencing God’s best for your life. And you will learn how to care for your soul in a way that makes it possible for you to experience the good God desires for your life. This class requires a commitment not just to learning the material, but putting new interpersonal and spiritual habits into practice.

Leader: Kimberly Nettles

Most of us allow many things to define our identity and worth: relationship status, career plans, and passions. But none of these truly satisfy, and we end up navigating life insecurely and longing to know our true selves.

Worthy is a 5-week study on identity in Christ. It explores the names we have through our relationship with Jesus: child, heir, slave, and saint. Jesus Christ alone is worthy to bear these names. By His grace, Jesus unites us to Himself, covers us in His image, and bestows worth to our fallenness. This study help participants: Break down how salvation transforms our identity; Compare what the world says vs. what God says about identity; Guide participants on how to embrace their eternal identity gained in Jesus and live, secure in His union.

Through this class, we are specifically trying to provide a place of connection for people who feel disconnected in some way in life (divorced, widowed, single, or with a spouse not connected to Christ), and an opportunity to find your Worth in Jesus, but also have connection with other women.  Our hope is for the connection to continue after this study is completed, through an ongoing Bible Study Group.
