In this sermon we conclude our July Family Worship series, TRUE HEROES, by looking in the book of Genesis at the life of Abraham’s great-grandson Joseph. Joseph intentionally lived his life TO BLESS others, even when they persecuted him. Today we’ll explore the “code” he lived by that enabled him to live such a remarkable life!
From Series: "TRUE HEROES"
The Word of the Lord declares “the godly people in the land are my true heroes.” Psalm 16:3 (NLT).
God’s written Word, the Bible, is filled with historical accounts of men and women who set their hearts and minds to passionately follow the Will and Word of God. These men and women can become Divine Mentors in our lives, demonstrating “Christ-Like-Characteristics” through real life challenges. From them we can learn to become “true heroes” to a culture in desperate need of Godly leadership.
Each Sunday in the month of July we will examine an event from the life of a different “true hero” and a unique characteristic we can cultivate for ourselves and then demonstrate to a watching world.
