If you are a mother of a preschooler, then MOPS is for you.
WHAT IS MOPS?
Mothers of Preschoolers is an international organization for all moms of children from birth through age 6, providing an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. Check out the MOPS website at http://www.mops.org, or the Riverbluff Church MOPS Group for more information.
MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS International exists to meet these needs of every mother, regardless of our differences. We share the desire to be the best mothers we can be.
IS THERE CHILDCARE?
There is a full childcare program called MOPPETS, with playtime, snacks, stories and crafts while we have our OWN playtime, snacks, and crafts! All of our MOPPET workers are fully screened.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
We meet the first and third Friday mornings of each month from 9:00–11:00am. Each morning begins with a brunch prepared by the MOPS moms, followed by discussion time and a brief devotional by our Mentor Mom. We then have either craft time or a speaker who discusses topics that are relevant to raising our preschoolers and being mothers. This is a fun time of relaxation and rejuvination where we are able to feed our bodies and minds while knowing that our children are well cared for. We also spend time throughout the year making friends and caring for one another.
If you have any questions, you may email Shawna Lee Irish at irish1011@hotmail.com, or call the church office at 266-6328.
We look forward to seeing you at MOPS...because Mothering Matters...
