In Matthew 18:25, Jesus said that the two greatest commandments were to "Love the Lord your God" and "Love your neighbor." Therefore, the purpose of the Preschool Department at Riverbluff Church is to teach young children to Love God and to Love Others.
Teaching Philosophy
Just as children learn colors, shapes, animals, etc., through repetition and play, we believe that they can learn Bible principles in the same manner. Teachers use Bible stories, art, games, puzzles and other activities to help children discover that God loves them, that they can help one another, they can be kind to one another, and they can love one another.
Weekend Bible Study
Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Preschoolers learn to Love God and Love Others as their teachers interact one-on-one with children through activities, Bible stories, and music using Faith Weaver curriculum.
During the second service on Sunday mornings, Preschoolers learn about God using the Hands On Bible curriculum. Every activity is purposefully designed to involve the child and communicate the biblical point of that day's lesson. Children don't just memorize a lesson in their head, they embrace the biblical truth with their heart.
